The ZB∙IT department, located in Room 132 at the Zion-Benton Township High School, is in charge of managing and maintaining the technological infrastructure at the school, including the computers, network, software systems, and digital security. This technological infrastructure is important for District 126, as it allows the district to provide a technology-rich educational experience for its students.

As part of this technology-rich education, all students in District 126 are issued a Chromebook device. These devices are portable, allowing students to easily take them back and forth between home and school. The Chromebooks give students access to an online learning management system, which serves as a central location for students to access their course materials.

To support the efforts of the ZB∙IT department, the school district has a student club called Tech Crew. This club assists with the management and deployment of District 126's technology services, giving participants valuable experience that they can add to their college and career resumes. This experience can lead to lucrative employment opportunities in the future.
