Mr. Arturo Hernandez- Executive Director of Safety and Security

• Develop and implement safety and security policies, procedures, and protocols in partnership with the Principals and Executive Director of Student Services.

• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential safety and security threats.

• Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.

• Implement and oversee security audits and inspections.

• Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and training for employees.

• Provides oversight of all District 126 data systems, and learning systems to facilitate efficient electronic reporting and security compliance.

• Provides direction, supervision, and evaluates the District 126 Technology Services Department , District’s Library/Media Center staff, and translation. 

• Oversees learning systems to enhance technology skills and instructional practices including vocational programs.

• Aids in designing and implementing technology-enhanced learning systems for students  

• Oversee grant technology-related applications and approvals 

• Maintains all District technology infrastructure, door access, security camera systems, and phone systems. 

• Supervise and plan for district cybersecurity and data privacy initiatives 

• Works closely with all administrative leaders to understand their needs and challenges, and integrate technology solutions to support their efforts.

• Collaborates with Principals, Executive Director of Academic Excellence, and Executive Director of Student Services, to ensure the use of technology is effectively integrated into academic and vocational programs, enhancing instruction and administrative programs, and improving student achievement.

• Develop, curate, publish, track, and analyze social media content consistent with the district's brand voice and guidelines in efforts to foster greater community relationships.
