Facilities Master Plan (FMP)

Zion-Benton Township High School District 126 is implementing a long-range Facilities Master Plan designed to create safe, supportive, and future-focused learning environments for students, staff, and the community.

The plan was developed through a collaborative process involving students, staff, families, community members, and facility planning experts. Through surveys, focus groups, community forums, and committee meetings, stakeholders helped identify priorities related to learning environments, student support, safety and security, building infrastructure, and future programming needs.

FMP Guiding Principles

  • Provide a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes a positive climate and culture for all students and staff.
  • Invest in District facilities to empower creativity, adaptability, and innovation, foster equity, and support the pursuit of the highest standards of excellence for all learners.
  • Provide future-forward learning environments that incorporate the key elements of 21st-century learning design, include meaningful hands-on learning opportunities, and support personalized learning for all students.
  • District buildings and learning environments will be a place of pride and opportunity for all students and staff.

Construction Progress

The Facilities Master Plan will be implemented in phases over several years. Each phase builds upon previous investments while supporting the District's Vision 2030 goals and commitment to future-ready learning environments.
