Zion-Benton High School District 126 Summer Programs 2023

Each summer, District 126 provides a variety of programming during the summer months to meet student needs. This page will provide students and families with all the information they need to make their decisions for the summer along with links to forms and resources necessary to enroll in our summer programs. Please note that summer school runs Monday through Thursday with the building closed on Fridays each week.

Summer School We have several summer school opportunities for both credit recovery needs and acceleration needs.

Times vary depending on the class. General Summer School hours are 7: 30 am to 12:30 pm

Freshmen Focused Freshman Focused is for ALL students in the Class of 2026 (incoming freshman students).
Session 1: May 30 - June 8 Freshman Focused is a "bridge" program to prepare freshmen students for their first year of high school.
Session 2: June 12 - June 22

Summer Stinger
This program is by invitation only and includes students with special education services who have been recommended for an extended school year.
Held at New Tech Campus
May 30 - June 20 (no school June 19)
No School on Fridays
Summer Stinger is designed to help students progress on IEP goals and transition to high school.
Times: 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM
