Class of 2022 End-Of-Year Events & Graduation Information

  • Congratulations to the students, parents, and guardians in the Class of 2022!  The countdown has begun.  This page on our website is dedicated to everything students and families need to know while they plan for the end of the school year leading up to the culminating event...our graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 22, 2022.  This page will be updated regularly as our plans are finalized and frequently asked questions evolve.  Use the links on this page to access important documents and information. 

    Upcoming Events:

    The required Commencement Practice is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.  All graduating seniors are required to attend.   Seniors should park in the Student Parking Lot on the northeast side of the building and enter through the northeast student entrance.   Graduates will receive their final instructions and receive tickets to distribute to family and/or friends.  All tickets will be given to each graduating student only.  The practice and ticket distribution process should be over at approximately 3:00 p.m.  Any student who has a conflict MUST inform Dr. Pawelczyk via email (Pawelczc@zbths.org) seeking permission to miss the commencement practice.   

    Our annual Senior Car Parade is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2020.  This event is optional, voluntary, and open to all seniors in the Class of 2022.  Participants should arrive between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m to begin lining up in the student parking lot at Zion-Benton High School.  The car parade will take off from the Zion-Benton High School parking lot at 10:00am.  Use this link for guidelines and parade route

    The Class of 2022 Commencement Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 22, 2022.   The commencement ceremony will be held outside on the athletic field at Zion-Benton High School, starting at 1:00 pm.  All graduates MUST report to ZBTHS Field House by 11:45am with their caps and gowns.  Students will begin walking onto the field at 12:55 p.m. If we need to move indoors due to inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Main Gym with remote seating for guests in both the Performing Arts Center and South Cafe.  Each graduate will receive six (6) tickets for outside seating.  If the ceremony must be moved indoors due to inclement weather, each graduate will receive 2 tickets to view the ceremony live in the Main Gym and 2 tickets to view the live stream in the Performing Arts Center or South Cafe.  Please note, the ceremony will be streamed live on YouTube for anyone to view remotely. 

    If you haven’t already, please REGISTER HERE for graduation pictures. This picture will be taken at graduation when students receive their diploma covers. You are not purchasing the picture but rather registering. After graduation, you will have the opportunity to purchase a picture from the photography company, Gradimages.
