Welcome to the Mathematics Department website.  We believe that all students can learn math at high levels with hard work.  Mathematics is all about creativity, sense-making, forming connections, and communicating.  With that comes the importance of asking questions and making mistakes.  Our mathematics classrooms are spaces that value mistakes, as mistakes encourage brain growth and learning.  We strive to provide all students with opportunities to approach mathematics with curiosity, confidence, and intuition with a focus on LEARNING.  Please do not hesitate to contact us with questions, concerns, or feedback.  

Math Help is Available!

• Math Lab (Room 341) - The ZBTHS Math Lab is available every period of the day for students who have a scheduled study hall.  It is also available after school to all students on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday's until 3:40pm.  Students who stay after school are welcome to take the activity bus home.  The Math Lab is always staffed with a licensed math teacher.  
• Ask your teacher!  Many teachers are willing to meet with students outside of class to help.
• Brainfuse - The Zion-Benton Public Library offers free online tutoring.  Use the "Brainfuse" link and enter your library card number to get started!
